Getting Around
Minnesota’s central location
makes it a convenient
destination to reach by car
from many parts of the country. It is almost
midway between the east and west coasts,
and is the northernmost state along the
Mississippi River, in the heart of the country.
The interstate highway system provides easy
access to Minnesota, with the east-west
highways I- 90 and I- 94, and north-south I- 35.
There’s also quick access along the western
border from nearby north-south I- 29 through
the Dakotas.
