reat things are found in this land where the prairie meets the North Woods. It’s home to Minnesota’s largest lakes and the source of the Mississippi River. Large preserves
of prairie and bog are both found here. Among the forests
and the lakes, there are lots of things to enjoy: fishing
and boating, biking miles of paved trails, golfing beautiful
courses, bird watching in a variety of habitats, attending
music festivals and shows. Attractive towns offer specialty
shops, art galleries and “Up North” finds.
