Resort Golf
Back in 1925, a Minnesota resort crafted a golf course out of its back pasture.
It was the start of something big. Now there are over a dozen golf resorts tucked
into the north woods, with beautiful, exciting courses. Some resorts have two or
more courses. And there are dozens of other great courses open to the public in
the heart of these resort areas. Spas, casinos and fishing trips can round out a golf
vacation. “Stay and Play” packages make it easy to plan a golf getaway.

The Twin Cities area is home to more than 150 courses open to the public.
Championship courses here host major golf tournaments. Minnesota’s towns
and countryside hold a wide selection of courses, for an easygoing round of
golf or a challenging game that tests your skills. A getaway to a historic inn or
bed-and-breakfast can easily include a trip to the links. In some areas, hotels
offer “stay and play” packages.
