Small Town Surprises
Out and about in Minnesota, families will discover plenty of interesting
places. In Walnut Grove, fans of the Laura Ingalls Wilder children’s books
enjoy a museum about the author and a pageant about pioneer life on the
prairie. At the International Wolf Center and the North American Bear
Center in Ely, young people see and learn about these wild creatures
featured in so many storybooks. A tour of Mystery Cave near Preston
explores a world most kids have never seen. Indoor and outdoor water
parks are popping up in towns across Minnesota.
Keep It Simple
Sometimes the things kids remember the most are the simple things.
Roasting marshmallows over a campfire. Playing for hours on a sandy
